NATIONAL AWARDS FINALIST

Town Basin Playground, Whangārei

Finalist, CCNZ National Construction Awards 2021 (Hirepool Construction Excellence, up to $2m). As main contractor for Whangārei District Council, we renewed the Town Basin Playground on the Hātea River. The work included demolition, earthworks, a 45-metre curved concrete retaining wall, sculpted play mounds, poured rubber surfacing, shade sails, paths, seating, fencing and planting, all while keeping the busy Hātea Loop Walkway open.

Tira Ora Child Health Centre, Whangārei Hospital

Playground, landscape and civil works for Northland's new child health centre, delivered for Hawkins on a live hospital campus. The playground included play equipment and a slide, poured rubber safety surfacing and a shade sail, signed off through an independent playground safety audit.
